人は、日々目にする本、ビデオ、映画などから多くの影響を受けやすいものです。私自身、男女の愛情に対する理解も、多くは映画や小説から得たものでした。かつて私は、二人が愛し合う中で、キスこそが最も素敵な愛情表現だと考えていました。そして、ディープ キスは、その愛が深まった証であり、最高にロマンチックな行為だと思っていたのです。 しかし、年を重ねるにつれ、様々な経験や知識を得て、男女の愛情における支配欲や独占欲についても多く知るようになりました。例えば、恋人が他の異性との距離感を気にしたり、リモコンバイブを使って相手を操り、自分に従わせることで快感を得る、というようなケースです。こういった形で愛する人を支配したい、という欲求が生まれることがあるのだと気づきました。 このような愛の形には、どこか自己中心的で歪んだ側面があると感じる一方で、それを好む人々も少なくないという事実に驚かされました。確かに、相手を自分の思い通りに動かすことで得られる快感や、相手が自分に完全に服従してくれる安心感は、ある種の満足感を与えるのかもしれません。 しかしながら、私はそうした愛には危うさが潜んでいると感じます。どんなに相手を愛していても、私たちはあくまで独立した個人であるべきであり、自己の人格を失ってはならないと思います。相手の一挙手一投足に左右され、自分を見失ったり、道徳心を捨てるような関係は、本当の意味での愛とは言えないでしょう。 恋愛はお互いを大切に思う気持ちが基本でありながらも、お互いの自由や尊厳を尊重することが必要です。支配欲や独占欲に囚われすぎると、関係そのものが歪んでしまいかねません。愛する人を支配し、完全に自分のものにしたいと願う気持ちは、誰しもが少なからず抱くことがあるかもしれませんが、その欲求に囚われてしまうと、相手との健全な関係が築けなくなる可能性が高いです。 もちろん、恋愛における個々の価値観や欲望は多様であり、全てが一概に悪いわけではありません。しかし、最も大切なのは、相手を自分と同じ一人の人間として尊重し、彼や彼女が自由に生きられるようにすることではないでしょうか。お互いに支え合い、時に意見が違っても、その違いを認め合える関係こそが、真の愛の形だと私は考えます。 愛とは、相手を思いやり、自分自身も尊重することです。自己を捨てて相手に従うことが愛ではなく、むしろ、自分の価値観や感情を大切にしながらも、相手の自由や意志を尊重することが、健全で深い愛情関係を築く鍵だと信じています。
